Improving Mass Transit in
a City Built Around Cars
Public transportation contributes to a healthier environment by improving air quality, reducing oil consumption and encouraging better land-use policies. It can even expand business development and work opportunity. So why do most people hate it?
In a word—education. Improving that was the goal of the Denver Transit Alliance. A nonprofit dedicated to educating citizens and empowering them to transform Colorado’s mobility future, they focused on creating a network of engaged and informed citizens.
For their annual gatherings, we developed a premium brand position along with themes and assets that championed various transit modes as well as those who advocate for them. This included design, event logistics, and event photography.
It worked. All of it. That’s why Denver’s light rail system now represents the eighth-largest transit system in the country even though Denver isn’t even in the top 20 cities in terms of population size. We’re honored to have played a role in that.
